How much does it cost to fix a phone speaker?
A professional clean is R199. A full loudspeaker or earpiece replacement runs R399–R899 for most models, fitted with a 90-day warranty.
People can't hear me on calls, is it the microphone?
Usually, but phones have 2–4 mics. We test each one to find whether it's the bottom mic (calls), top mic (speakerphone/video) or a blocked mesh before quoting.
My speaker went quiet after the phone got wet, can it be saved?
Often yes. Water leaves mineral deposits on the speaker contacts. If we catch it early a clean fixes it; left for weeks, the coil corrodes and needs a replacement.
